Documentation to assist with the setup and configuration of the HaloPSA platform
Changing your Halo URL
When you first get a trial of Halo, your URL will be a subdomain of one of our core product domains (https://MyCompany.HaloPSA.com, for example). However, this can be changed to use your own domain should you wish (i.e https://ServiceDesk.MyCompany.com).
In order to facilitate this, you will need to add a CNAME record to your DNS listing. This record should point your desired URL at your original Halo URL. Using the example above, you would want to add a CNAME record pointing ServiceDesk.MyCompany.com at MyCompany.HaloPSA.com.
An SSL certificate would also need to be provided in order to secure this new address. If you are providing your own SSL certificate, please ensure this is sent to us in .PFX format (along with any password, if applicable).
We can also generate certificates in-house free of charge. If you would prefer we generated this certificate, please let us know. Our infrastructure team would then provide you with an additional CNAME record to add to your DNS listing in order to verify the certificate.
You can also change your Self-Service Portal URL, should you wish. A similar procedure to the above would need to be followed, with one key difference - you would need your CNAME to point to <Your Original Subdomain>-Portal..com. Using a similar example to that mentioned above, if you wanted to change your Self-Service Portal to https://Portal.MyCompany.com, you would need to add a CNAME pointing Portal.MyCompany.com at MyCompany-portal.HaloPSA.com.
