It’s time to look back at Q4’s standout features, updates, and integrations. Our 2.132 Stable Upgrade brings to the forefront a seamless blend of functionality and sophistication.
From the introduction of intuitive ticket and side menu dashboards to the ability to schedule and iterate runbooks, every enhancement is a testament to our commitment to optimising your experience.
Read on to find out more about the multiple advancements in the 2.132 Stable Upgrade to streamline your experience with HaloPSA.
1. Scheduling and Iterating Runbooks
Integration runbooks can now perform array iteration and be queued to run on a schedule.
Array Iteration: New Action types have been added to the Integration runbook builder to allow you to iterate a runbook variable of data type “Array”. This allows you to query an API that responds with an array of multiple objects and make further requests involving each of those objects one by one.
Runbook Scheduling: You can now run an integration runbook on a daily schedule.
2. Ticket Dashboards
Ticket Dashboards can now be added to the Ticket Details screen on the Agent application. Ticket dashboards are like global dashboards but filter data to be relevant to the specific ticket that is being viewed and come with several additional widget types, exclusive to Ticket dashboards.
These dashboards can be used to create an overview screen on a Ticket or be used to customise the layout of the Ticket details screen.
3. Side Menu Dashboards
You can now configure a dashboard to show as a side menu option. If configured, a new button will show in the top-right of the screen in the agent app to access the chosen dashboard.
Example use cases for this involve being able to show key metrics in the side menu alongside tickets or showing a list of your recently viewed/followed tickets, to be able to access them more easily.
4. AI-Powered Knowledge Base Creation
Integration runbooks have been added that can use Open AI/Azure Open AI to create knowledge base articles.
These runbooks can be downloaded from the online repository.
By default, they take the input from the action that triggered them and use this to create a description and resolution for a knowledge base article. It will then create an article or an article draft if these are in use.
5. Deferred Revenue
You can now enable deferred revenue in Configuration > Billing > General Settings
From here, you can set an accounts code for each tenanted integration that will function as the deferred revenue accounts code.
This will then be used for Sales Order lines marked as deferred revenue or for any invoice prepay. You can also mark charge types as deferred revenue types and any time against them will go against deferred revenue. Once done, any pre-pay time or project time can now be invoiced in the deferred revenue section in Ready for Invoicing > Deferred Revenue.
Any invoices created here will be zero value invoices and be sent to the deferred revenue customer if set.
6. New Ways to Edit Quote/Sales Order Lines
There is now a button to ‘Update Line Values’ when editing quotes, which allows you to select a field to update.
You then select a field and can adjust the value for all lines at once. There is also a button to update table values which allows direct edits on some fields on the lines.
7. Quote Level PDF Customisation
You can now customise PDFs at quote level, using the HTML editor.
8. Timesheet Approvals
You can now approve timesheets. The ‘Submit’ button on the timesheet will submit it for approval and allow your timesheet manager to approve on your timesheet and once approved, the ‘Approval Status’ on the timesheet will change to approved.
9. Billing Plan Breakdown on Ticket
A configuration option has been added to the Contract/Agreement configuration area to show Billing Plan breakdown on a Ticket.
Once enabled, when changes are made to Billing Plan Combinations, an agreement list is updated with the work that is covered for that agreement. This can be accessed from a Ticket using the briefcase symbol. The lines are generated from the Billing Plan content or from a new field for Billing Plan Description that overrides the content.
10. Configuration Import from IT Glue
In addition to flexible assets, you can now import configurations from IT glue.
They are configured similarly to the flexible assets, with type mappings that each have their own asset mappings. Only configurations for mapped customers will be imported.
You can also specify status mappings for configurations.
12. Integrations
